Security

By 2050, Earth’s population is expected to reach 9.7 billion, necessitating a doubling of food production.
This challenge, underscored by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), is essential for maintaining
global food security and sustainability. The urgency to increase food production is driven by demographic
shifts, economic changes, and environmental concerns. With population growth, especially in developing
countries, comes a greater demand for food, including resource-intensive items like meat and dairy.
Compounding this challenge is climate change, which is already altering agricultural practices and forcing
farmers to adapt to new, often more difficult conditions.
